Koshish Foundation Scholarship for NED students - Aug 2015

Koshish Foundation in 2012 established a scholarship fund to help needy university female students who could not afford to pay their tuition. Anwar Foundation got involved in 2012 and contributed for three years. In 2015 Koshish Foundation decided to create and endowment fund for a multi year investment to continue expanding the scholarship fund for needy university students. For this endowment fundraiser Anwar Foundation donated $15000 .

Masjid Ibrahim New Masjid Fundraiser - Aug 2015

Masjid Ibrahim has been serving the Sacramento community since 1994. Over the years the community has grown and so have the needs of the Masjid. Anwar Foundation has been helping and supporting different initiatives with Masjid Ibrahim since 2007. For this fundraiser we donated $3000 for the cause.

Annual SBIA Fundraiser - July 2015

As the community in South Bay in San Jose has been growing so have been needs to expand and get a larger center for multiple services in the Muslim community. Such a center was purchased by SBIA in 2013 and Anwar Foundation participated in the fundraiser. In July it continued their support to help payoff the new center and donated $12,700.

Give Light Foundation Annual Support - Dec 2014

Give Light Foundationis a non-profit humanitarian relief organization, established in Sunnyvale, California, USA in January 2005 by a group of young professionals. The foundation seeks to create durable orphanages and provide orphan care in response to natural disasters and extreme condition, like poverty and war. Anwar Foundation has been involved with organization since 2010. In the recurring monthly support we donated $360 for orphan kids from Jan-Dec 2014.

Iqra Fund - Nov 2014

Iqra Fund is a U.S. based nonprofit organization committed to serving girls in remote regions faced with economic, social, and political barriers to education in Pakistan. Anwar Foundation go involved with the organization in 2013 and made a multiple year commitment to the organization. In Nov 2014 it made a donation of $3250 for the girls education in remote areas of Pakistan.

Fundraiser- Habibiya Women Foundation in Pakistan - July 2014

The Anwar family in 2001 established "Habibiya Women Foundation" for Orphan girls in Zafarwal Pakistan. In our Fundraiser for 2014 the goal was to raise $60K for the expenses. Through the generous donations from people like you, we were able to raise $82K and beat the target. Thank you very much for your generous donations.

SABA Homes - Jul 2014

SABA HOMES Saghir Aslam and his wife Bushra Aslam well-known philanthropists from Southern California, USA, for the past 48 years have been helping people in Pakistan and in other countries such as; Afghanistan, Bosnia, Chechnya, India, Iraq. Anwar Foundation has been helping and supporting different initiatives with SABA Home and donated for their annual event. For this fundraiser we donated $1000 for the cause. SBIA Fundraiser for Masjid-al-Mustafa - Sep 2013

Charity Water - Nov 2012

Charity Water is an organization whose mission is to provide clean drinking water to people around the world. Anwar Foundation got involved in a project with Charity Water in Nov 2012 to build water wells in Africa. Fundraiser- Needy Families in Bay Area - July 2011

In July a few needy families came to us for assistance to help them raise funds to help them get on their feet. We held a small fundraiser through our network and our goal was to raise $15K for these families to help them get debt free and have some money to sustain themselves. Through the generous donations from people like you, we were able to raise $17,700 and beat our goal of $15K. We handed two checks of $10,600 and $7,100 to these families on Aug 3, 2011

Fundraiser- Cancer Patient in Mexico - May 2011

In May it came to our attention that a sister of one our community members was suffering of cancer in Mexico. They needed whatever assistance we could provide for the operation and medicines for the patient. We made a call to our network and were able to raise $10,000 for the ailing patient. We handed two checks of $5000 each on separate dates to the patients family in San Jose. Unfortunately we got the news that patient soon after the operation did not survive and passed away (May ALLAH (SWT) bless their soul).

Fundraiser- Susan G Komen Cancer Walk - Feb 2011

One of our good friends from the community is participating in the walk for cancer patients in San Francisco on Sep 9-11, 2011 . Our friend was also doing a fundraiser to raise $5000 for their contributions to this walk. The Anwar Foundation participated in these efforts and contributed $1500 and requested it's network to participate in the fundraiser.

Fundraiser- Flood Relief Pakistan through Imran Khan Foundation - Nov 2010

In 2010 Pakistan suffered the worst floods seen in the history. The devastation that took place in Pakistan was worst than the Haiti Earthquake. Millions of people were displaced and many lost everything that they owned. The Anwar Foundation participated in fundraiser held on behalf of Imran Khan Foundation by Buddies Without Borders in Pleasanton. That night over $120K was raised for the Pakistan Floods. The Anwar Foundation contributed $5000 towards these efforts and asked most of it's network to attend this fundraiser for the floods.

Fundraiser- Give Light Orphanage - Sep 2010

Our goal is to help as many communities as we can and in doing so we participated in the Annual Fundraiser held in San Jose for the Give Light Foundation . The goal in the night for Give Light was to raise money for Orphanage's around the world. The Anwar Foundation donated $6000 to the fundraiser and asked it's network to also participate in the fundraiser.

Fundraiser- Charity Water for Africa- May 2010

In May 2010 friend of Anwar Foundation, Shakil Khan set forth his sights on raising $100K for clean water in Africa. The Anwar Foundation helped him get donors to his efforts and also contributed $1000 towards his goal. Shakil Khan beat his expectations and raised over $200K for clean water in Northern Ethopia. The Anwar family in 2001 established "Habibiya Women Foundation" for Orphan girls in Zafarwal Pakistan. In our Annual Fundrsiader for 2009 the goal was to raise $20,000 for the expenses. Through the generous donations from people like you, we were only able to raise $17,502 but not able to meet our goal of $20K. We hope to do better in 2010

Phase 2 - Habibiya Women Foundation in Pakistan - Sep 2008

The Anwar family in 2001 established "Habibiya Women Foundation" for Orphan girls in Zafarwal Pakistan. In our Phase 2 of the project the goal was to raise $25,000 for the completion of the construction. Through the generous donations from people like you we were able to beat our goal and raised $29,000.

Air Conditioning (AC) Funds for Masjid Ibrahim Sacramento - Sep 2008

Masjid Ibrahim has been serving the Sacramento community since 1994. Over the years the community has grown and so have the needs of the Masjid. Though the masjid is sustaining itself through the contributions of the community and regular worshipers, but it had not been able to collect enough funds to install AC in the building since 1994. As many of you in the community are aware that temperatures can sore over 100 F very regularly in summer months, hence the Anwar Foundation decided to take this up as a project and raised funds for installing Air Conditioning in Masjid Ibrahim. The AC in the masjid was successfully installed on Sep 16, 2008. Thank you for everyone who contributed towards the project.

Phase 1 - Habibiya Women Foundation in Pakistan - Oct 2007

The Anwar family in 2001 established "Habibiya Women Foundation" for Orphan girls in Zafarwal Pakistan. This school gives these girls an opportunity to have a shelter on their head as well as get an education. Through the sustained contributions from donors like you, the school is really doing well and the number of girls in the school increased to 60 in 2007. In 2007, we started two phase construction project. Phase 1 was to raise $15,000 for the construction of new building where these orphan girls could live on the land donated by the Anwar Family. Through the generous donations we we able to raise $20,000 last year, beating our projected goal.
